La Mauricie National Park protects 536 km² of wooded hills and around 150 lakes. The scenic parkway crosses it from end to end, some sixty kilometres dotted with lookouts, including the one above Wapizagonke Lake.
Come in summer for canoe-camping, hiking and swimming. In fall, for the colours. In winter, for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, with heated shelters along the way. The Saint-Jean-des-Piles entrance is open year-round; the Saint-Mathieu entrance from May to October.
